I know that the name of the home directory can differ on Win32 systems, it was only an example.
I agree with you, that this would be the best way: Environment.GetFolderPath (Environment.SpecialFolder.Personal); But it does not work (Linux, mono 0.23) and most of the other SpecialFolder constants does not work too. Could be a bug or the mono people don't want to port it, because it's too Win32 specific.
