Dale,
I haven't used XSP much for a couple of months, so I'm forwarding your email to the mono-list. Someone on the list should be able to give you a better response.
There is more info on the ADO.NET Provider Factory at http://www.go-mono.com/provider-factory.html. While it is part of the Mono project, it can also be used in regular MS.NET apps too. It basically a way to abstract the type of database you're connecting to.
Hope this helps,
Brian

>I am very interested in the Mono project, specifically the asp.net portions. I have a mid sized project that I would like to port to mono on Redhat or Solaris. This website is currently written in asp and vbscript. I have ported it to .Net using vb.net and was in the process or attempting to port it to c# when I came across Mono.

I have the samples that came with xsp that gives me some of the basics, but I was wondering if there were any more samples of more full blown type of applications available? Particularly involving code-behind pages developed in vs.net.

>I have not been able to get the code-behind to work in mono as of yet. The documentation is a little sparse. If I can get my project working, I will document the whole process and make it available to the mono project for distribution. This project is currently working with SQL Server and vb.net.
