You should be able to build CVS from Mono 0.26 (the latest in Red Carpet). At least, I was earlier today, except for a minor problem with System.Windows.Forms (something about protection levels), System.Design, and System.Drawing.Design (the latter two wouldn't build because System.Windows.Forms wasn't present).
