I am trying to use ShadowCopy to update an Assembly on the fly. The code when run on Windows-MSCLR lets me overwrite the assembly while the Application is running but on Windows-Cygwin-Mono it does not let me overwrite the file. Does that mean that mono does not support ShadowCopy?
On Linux, however, I have found that once the Application is started, one can go ahead and delete all the files being used? I am not sure how this is possible, but it makes it very difficult for me to come to a conclusion that ShadowCopy worked on Linux.
