Hello,
I'm a VB.NET developer and I'm very interested on your project.
On the site, I can see that VB compiler is almost incomplete... by the
way, is there the possibility to develop and compile under Windows/.NET
Framework and then run the app onto a Linux machine with MONO?

Yes, the assemblies are binary compatible, but our Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll implementation does not support all the features yet (if you use Option Strict On, it will be easier for your application to wokr).

My answer
refer also to ASP.NET applications.. can I compile from my VS.NET IDE
and then drop files&dlls on a Linux configured and let them run?

As ASP.NET need to dynamically compile pages, it depends on our compilers to run on linux, as so currently it works well only for C#.

If not (and "no, you can't" is what I'm expecting), do you think that VB
compiler will be ever completed?

I'll be carrying an effort for it to be useable, when Mono 1.0 comes alive and kicking next February...

Just to know, depending on this I'll
decide to write in C# or continue with VB.

For any project in the near term I recommend to use C#, period.

Thanks in advance, Matteo.

You're welcome,
