Several months ago I was looking into porting our simple C# application at
work over to Mono but hit the snag of no services assembly's being
available.

Has there been any work done in this area at all? Even if its to compile
on mono/linux and run on windows ( primarily wanting to get the
application built from our automated build server ).

Probably, it should compile, as we have all the skeletons/stubs in place, only that some of those stub assemblies aren't built by the global makefile, so they don't get compiled and installed, within mono. You must get them from cvs, and run their local makefiles to build and install.

Hope it helps...

Ask details if needed, or point anything that would still block you.
