If the progress client is a GUI that is written in de progress 4GL , then this will be windows only because progress 4GL
only supports windows GUI ( character UI are supported with linux ).

From you mail, i assume the client is not written in 4GL(?)

According to progress ( world developers days in Dublin ), they are going to support .net from version 10 and up.
also ADO .net will be supported with new keywords in the 4GL. ( even a C# port of the SmartObject technology )

This should also support Mono.

I have a prospect who is using progress Client on Windows to talk to a Progress Database. he wants to put the Progress Client onto Linux. Is this something we can do using Mono?

Thank you for your patience
