Don't belief everything you read on slashdot. Microsoft describes winFX as "a comprehensive set of managed APIs for writing "Longhorn" applications" So, basicly instead of using p/invoke to access the windows APIs, you can just use the managed libaries. Since.net apps which p/invoke the windows API won't work on mono , it doesn't make it useless. It would even be possible to implement the winFX APIs on linux and make mono even more usefull.
but read it yourself at http://longhorn.msdn.microsoft.com Jasper > Someone on the slashdot forum said that WinFx is going to make mono > useless. > How much is true about that? > > http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=83739&threshold=1&commentsort=0&tid=109&tid=185&tid=187&tid=190&mode=thread&pid=7321209#7321376 > > _______________________________________________ > Mono-list maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-list > -- NEU FR ALLE - GMX MediaCenter - fr Fotos, Musik, Dateien...
