I am getting an error when installing the mono from the ports collection. I am not sure if the issue should be taken care of by the mono or FreeBSD. Here's the error:
mono-0.28_1 is marked as broken: Does not work on -CURRENT with garbage collection enabled.
There is a description in Freeports.com about the issue. Here's the link:

I have not tried installing the source or daily build but I will when I get a chance. I am fairly new to FreeBSD so you guys will probably hear more from me:).

Every once in a while we get a message that says that there is a problem, but people have not told us what the problem is. Mostly those are simple build issues, and we would love to fix them, but we need to work together.
Please try one of the daily builds, and tell us if things are still broken:
