The way I do it: 1. unzip the package 2. open a terminal 3. launch emacs in terminal mode: emacs -nw -l /path/to/zbrad.emacs sourcecode.cs
For programming you should learn about: <alt>+x compile <alt>+x eshell Emacs also has a built-in tutorial, I highly suggest you go over it a few times if you're new to emacs. Hope that helps.
