I'm having trouble trying to install xrender from the mono channel using Red Carpet. I'm running Red Hat 9. Here's the message I get when I try to install xrender:
/usr/lib/pkgconfig/xrender.pc from Install of xrender-0.8.3-1.ximian.6.2 Conflicts with file from package XFree86-devel-4.3.0-2.90.55 When I attempt to uninstall XFree86-devel, it says the following packages are dependent and must be uninstalled: cairo-devel 0.1.18-0.ximian.6.1 gtk2-devel 2.2.4-0.ximian.6.2 libglade2-devel 2.0.1-3.ximian.6.8 monodoc 0.11-0.ximian.6.0 pango-devel 1.2.5-0.ximian.6.1 It looks like I don't need these packages, but I'm just wondering if anyone knows the correct procedure to follow. The only one I really want to keep is monodoc, but I would guess I can just reinstall it after xrender is installed. I'm just wondering if monodoc is dependent on XFree86-devel. Thanks for any help you can provide!
