There are two efforts to build Windows.Forms. The community has been maintaining a Gtk#-based Windows.Forms implementation, while the folks at Novell have been implementing it on top of Wine (we converted Wine into a library). In the Novell effort, we use Wine as our "toolkit", so we get most of the functionality of Windows.Forms for free as well as being very compatible with advanced features like Wndproc overrides and P/Invoke for third party controls.
