This is completely unrelated to both the thread info and the hang issue, of course. Why are you still using mint? Is that an old version? Beta1 should have already mono enabled. Anyway, AFAIK this issue is fixed in cvs (might have not made it into beta1).
I was trying mint to see if it would help instead of mono. Mono was the default; both gave this same behavior.
I'll give CVS a shot and see if it helps...
