My mistake it appears it will be called: SuSE Linux Desktop 9

I think that the recent talk in the press about a new version of SuSe is concerning Nat Friedman's comments about SuSe Desktop Linux. I am almost sure that particular version of SuSe is not available through conventional distribution channels yet.

As far as SuSe 9.1 and Mono 1.0.1, I personally think is very stable and remarkably easy to install when you use Red-carpet. You are right about needing ONE and only ONE tar file -- mod_mono. However, it is a marked improvement over versions of Mono prior to 1.0 in terms of installation and interaction with SuSe 9.0 or 9.1.
I will be waiting outside of Fry's Electronics doors at 5:00 AM the day that SuSE DLN is available for purchase. :)
