Ok, I'll try all this stuff tonight. But, I must make a point about this: the Mandrake version I got is the "Community" version, wich doesn't come with any but the essentials developer tools. It means that the gcc, for example, didn't come in the distro, so I had to download the source tarballs, compile & install them (wich costs me a couple of hours), so i doubt i could get the glib rpms from the cds.
