Period. Well, what you is all valid if there's a world of one standard format / view. There are two ways to look at anything: -- Standards/Specifications: Everything is uniform, behaving in same way. No "separate" extensions lest they make way into specifications. -- Custom/Personal: One's own favourite, providing extensibility. May lead to breaking interop but may be providing enhanced non-standard features. IE provides several non-Javascript1.2 enhancements. People love them. Mozilla works right on standards. People still love them... but some wished those enhancements of IE.
