Any ideas where I should start looking?
Ok, I've got more info on this now... Even though I've got /usr/local/lib/pkgconfig in PKG_CONFIG_PATH, I can't compile *any* apps that use -pkg:gtk-sharp (or gtk-sharp-2.0 for that matter). I *can* compile a simple Gtk# app (example 4-1 from "Mono: A Developers Notebook") using: $ mcs Main.cs -r:/usr/local/lib/mono/gtk-sharp/gtk-sharp.dll The reference is cut'n'pasted from the output of: $ pkg-config --libs gtk-sharp So, why can I compile with explicit -r: references, and not -pkg: references? Are there some more environment variables I should be setting?
