While that is the intent, it does not always work out completely. Many developers targeting the .NET framework don't bother testing with mono, and worse, many actually include native Windows calls in their code, while claiming it is a pure ".NET" application. I have come across several examples, and I have dealt with some issues in attempting to deploy my own application on a mono platform. ...
