Well, it's only pear-shaped in the sense that monodevelop won't work,
and that I can't upgrade to the latest mono version. So "pear-shaped"
could be a bit of an exaggeration :)

Grab a copy of win4lin then - it's much easier than messing about with a
dual boot. I can tell you that there is a very high level of
cross-platform capabilities (I regularly post proof-of-concept material
to .NET users around Europe which works fine on their boxes - even if it
doesn't work on mine [mainly Managed.Windows.Forms stuff]). It is almost
getting to that point that I just say "blow it, it'll work!"

You need apache-devel to install mod_mono and apache-devel usually needs
apache before being able to install.
