This is for Fedora Core anyway. I assume SuSE and other Linux distros

Thanks Jon - but it doesn't appear to be rc.local in the case of SuSE.
Doing:
% locate rc.local
comes back with nothing.
Looks as though I'll have to do some more digging, but thanks anyway.
