Thats a weird recommendation considering your application works in
1.1.16, but doesn't work in 1.1.9. I would recommend using whatever works.
At the very least I would recommend using 1.1.13.8 (the latest stable
release). Mono is changing very quickly, and in my experience only
getting more stable. I've never found a compelling reason to use older
versions.
Thats a problem for me because of the 77075 bug. Mono GC fails almost
everytime I'm testing
my application because of the suspend thread fault described in the
above mentioned bug report.
I was recommened to try out the 1.1.9.2 release by Bill Seddon, the
author of the bug report.
