Gst-sharp [1] is not ready for the prime time and lacking active contributors. It all depends what you want to do, but one tested solution is to create a small glue/wrapper C library with high-level GStreamer functions and call it from C#. I mean something like: void decode_vorbis (char *in_file, char *out_file); ...and inside this function hide all the GStreamer bits needed to decode the file. However, with this approach you need to take care about portability issues yourself.
