First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Manel Ibáñez and I've been a IDEs developer for the last ten years. I'm thinking on starting some projects using Mono.
I'm pretty sure this may have been asked several times, so I apologize if this community is tired of answering the same things once and again. I've been coding on VB (mostly) and some C# on the Windows .Net Visual Studio tools and I'm thinking on making my first cross-plaform project using mono. I was thinking if there is an easy way to get mono up and running easily on a windows machine, for its usage on Visual Studio (I would preffer not to change the IDE if possible). I want to do this with the confidence that my tests will be run on the mono runtimes, instead of being run on the Microsoft .net, and Ideally I would love to be able to debug applications properly. Is there any guide (easy if possible) of how to set all this up? It has to be idiots-prove as I haven't touched mono for the last... mmmm five years or so, so I honestly don't know where to start. thanks! -- View this message in context: http://mono.1490590.n4.nabble.com/Planing-to-make-my-forst-mono-project-tp4658743.html Sent from the Mono - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Mono-list maillist - [email protected] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-list
