Mono 3 has good support, but it's called "beta" still. Don't let that scare you. It's good enough. The current "stable" release 2.10.x, I hear, doesn't have good ASP / MVC support. (I never used it, I don't know personally.) Both mono/.Net and/or django are good solutions. I think your deciding factor is mostly this... Do you already have an application written in django? If so, then a 1-week training course will be good enough to get any python developer up to speed with django. In my gut feel, django is a bit more rapid to develop on, but mono/.Net have higher end performance when your product is finished.
