I know this is an old post, but i've had this issue right now, and I have fixed it really easily.
I'm running mono on BeagleBoneBlack, and I had the same problem of missing libgdiplus. I've fixed it by just creating a simbolic link to "libgdiplus.so.0.0.0" as follows: ln -s /usr/lib/libgdiplus.so.0.0.0 /usr/lib/libgdiplus.so I know there is already a link named "libgdiplus.so.0", but it seems like mono is looking for "libgdiplus.so" instead.
