Hi,
First of all I have to say that I'm not an expertise in Linux. I'm starting
to develop an application with Mono which is accessing to serial ports.
I'm having troubles when trying to open serial ports, reporting that
permission is denied.

This application will be distributed, so I would like to know what is the
standard procedure to deal with these kind of situations. Do I have to ask
the customer to "chmod" the serial port entry? I guess this is not the best
way to proceed. I'm not sure how other programs deal with permissions, since
they simply work once they are installed. Is this something to take into
account when a package is created/installed?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Regards,
Carles
