Thank you. I just changed some colors to my taste, and surely in a K6-II 500MHz with 192MB, Kate is really faster and simpler.

Does gedit have similar capabilities? In Kate I just miss not having a way to run the 'make' from inside it with a shortcut.

Oh yes. Finally, I had to put my Linux box back on order and now I can say that Mono 0.16 runs flawlessly so far in Mandrake 9.0.

More: I got mcs/class/Mono.GetOptions and mcs/mbas from cvs and recompiled them with mcs after creating or adjusting some things in their makefile.gnu files. So mbas is running, but still not doing much, in Linux.

I cannot commit those small changes just now because my ssh key is only on my broken Windows machine.
