[Mono-list] building mcs and corlib on linux

Hi,
Where can I find the procedure for building mcs and corlib on linux from cvs?
At one time I thought there were instructions that detailed this - I think
it involved getting a pre-build mcs from somewhere. But I cannot find the
instructions now.
Can anyone enlighten me?
