Well, I think you mean Miguel's mail suggesting to compile
things like this:
(cd mcs; make)
(cd mono; make install)
Before I tried this I first removed all binaries, re-compiled and installed
mono 0.17 (without a problem!) and updated to the latest CVS versions, mcs
again failed to build. I tried to build using: make -f makefile.gnu install
prefix=/usr/local/
