Where to start.... I'm attempting (miserably) to get Parts & Vendors, an Inventory Program by Trilogy Design designed for Windows 95 & up, to run in Linux, specifically Ubuntu. The program seems to rely heavily on VB, as all of my error messages seem to be connected to VB in one form or another. My initial attempts to get this to work involved Wine, and some success was made. When I tried to get Visual Basic 6 run time into Wine, a certain "advpack.dll" pack fails repeatedly. When I try to run Parts & Vendors in Wine, i get the following message:
"OpenLocalDatabase 430 Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface" I am going to repost this in both Wine & VB forums as well, but it seems like Mono could help with this problem.
