The code works on Windows (of course using Mono:).
Looks to be a winforms/X11 problem then. Can anyone using a linux box
verify this?

Works but incorrectly? Got exception? Stack trace?
I worked on Windows altough incorreclty as figured out by Peter but I only
checked that there is no exception and text was displayed I did not care
about the details.
So please let us know what it does on your system.
