8.25 is a good idea. On Windows, a font of size 8 will look really weird in comparison to 8.25, don't ask why, but 8.25 looks right.
Actually, it would be nice if the default font could be Tahoma 8.25 instead of Microsoft Sans Serif 8.25, because the standard windows development guidelines recommend using Tahoma, and all applications developed by Microsoft use Tahoma 8.25 as a default. I spend my time resetting the form fonts to Tahoma on every single new dialog I develop. Microsoft Sans Serif should be eradicated forever from all operating systems, so much it's an ugly font.
