After further investigation I found out that mono breaks only when I set 
the Text property to a value that isn't a valid date, according to the 
Format property of DateTimePicker. In my opinion this shouldn't happen 
since it doesn't happen when I run the same application regulary.

Also, the DateTimePicker doesn't respect the current language and 
regional settings (or current culture), it always displays the date in 
US language. When I run the program regulary, the current culutre is 
respected.

P.S. I'm running mono on Windows XP.
