It should be noted that Android is a Linux-like platform. There is no C drive,
'\' is not the directory separator char, and you probably won't have write
access there anyway. :-)
You should instead use something like the original MonoTouch sample:
var db = Path.Combine (
System.Environment.GetFolderPath(System.Environment.SpecialFolder.Personal),
"items.db3");
This will create a file relative to your application's directory.
