Depending how You have installed it. If SDK was installed with installer
package then
paths are set automatically, when unzipped from zip You have to set it
manually.
M4A installs it in %PROGRAMFILES%
Just google manual Android sdk install and You shold find it.
I have noticed that eclipse and ADT plugin do not check whether SDK is
already
installed so they installed second time in %USERPROFILE%.

I did change the SDK location in preferences, and it worked for the build
but not for managing/launching devices, it still uses the old path there.
I did search before posting but the answers did not seem to apply to Mac,
which has no registry like Windows.
any replies appreciated -
