To follow up on what Joseph says, I'm quite impressed by what I see to this point. One interesting thing is that when I open up a layout in the designer, I am seeing the resources be displayed in layout. I like this very much. This preview includes designer updates, including designer support in Visual Studio. It also includes support for working against Android x86 emulators. To install Mono for Android 4.1.1, you'll want to switch to the Alpha update channel.
