It's normal for debug packages that use the shared runtime.

It won't happen to packages released into App Stores because release packages have the copy of Mono they are written for embedded into the apk.

I'm pretty new to Mono, but I've been writing little apps for myself to
learn, and putting them on my Kindle and phone and such.

Today I installed the 4.2.1 update, and when I ran one of my apps with
Visual Studio, pushing it to my Kindle, my Kindle updated it's version of
Mono to 4.2.1.

Now none of the apps I wrote with the last version of Mono work anymore.
They just crash out. Everything from simple 'Hello World' to the latest
ones.

Is this normal? If I eventually write an app and put it on the Kindle
store, or wherever, is it going to break every time there's an update?
