I had problems with first project I tried to deploy to x86...
Stupid me was trying to deploy project referencing GoogleMaps...
Check logcat - that is where I found that there's no Map stuff on
emulator. (map.jar etc)...
maybe You are using some api not in emulator (maps, admob) ?

I have followed the instructions here
http://docs.xamarin.com/android/getting_started/installation/Configuring_the_x86_Emulator
and I am able to deploy to the 4.0.3 version fine.
When I deploy to the 2.3.3 version I get

I have tried increasing the SD card size, Wiping user data and recreating
the AVD.
