The problem is that obfuscated .jar files cause various problems. I think
you're seeing a variation on:
https://bugzilla.xamarin.com/show_bug.cgi?id=6143
The fix is to remove processing of the obfuscated types by editing
Transforms\Metadata.xml, as is suggested in the second comment.
