Hello Derek, First I doubt you missing anything. It's just missing by design.
There should be a different way cause the Tab Indicator is just a regular view that is part of the current TabWidget. I just checked the resources and the tab_indicator.xml has 2 ids @+id/icon and @+id/title. So you can access the title the hard way: TextView tabTitle = TabHost.TabWidget.GetChildAt(0).FindViewById<TextView>(Android.Resource.Id.Title); Only did quick test but worked for me.
