Darn!  I think you're right!  Thanks.  I'll go install monotone on the
NFS server instead.  Also figure out how to get locking to work.  I
seem to remember messages some time ago about some obscure service
not working.  I didn't worry it at the time because I had more serious
problems, and then plum forgot about it.  Something about 'lockd'
if I recall correctly...
