* Don't bother compiling monotone yourself and use the pre-compiled binary available here: http://monotone.ca/downloads/0.40/mtn-0.40-linux-x86.bz2. This is a stand-alone binary, simply download, bunzip2, and put it in a directory on your path, like /usr/local/bin. - Thomas
