We just upgraded to the most current release of MonoDevelop/MonoTouch and our
build is now 7MB smaller than it was prior to this upgrade and end users
receive exceptions when they try to run the application.

While trying to pin down the cause of the problem, I noticed that the 4.3
SDK is listed as missing in the project's iPhone Build property pages. 

Could this be the source of our problems? We've had XCode 4.2 installed for
quite awhile and have been building successfully, so I'm not sure this is
the cause of the problem. I'm in the process of installing the latest XCode,
but it would be nice to know if this will resolve the problem (if the
missing SDK is indeed the problem).
