I'm having similar problems. It is definitely 'worse', though it does
still work occasionally. It doesn't seem to want to go to symbol
definitions right away, although if complete the statements I'm typing
it often will, almost as though it needs to be able to recognize a valid
statement before guessing what symbol I want. Extremely annoying.

How can I enable intellisense on this new MonoDevelop version on Mac?
All color identification now it's really better, specially on classes,
but when I type a dot, nothing appear…
Passing the mouse pointer over an object, class, method, property, it
show a description, but nothing appear to show members.
