You will need to talk to Xamarin, or someone who has done it. In
general, I think the answer is: you can, but it's not supported. I
would doubt Xamarin would (or could) help tho, tho I could be wrong
and it'd be worth asking.

Xamarin may have some methods, or be able to point you, but to be
honest, running OSX in a VM (which isn't hosted on a Mac) is against
Apple's terms, hence unsupported.

I think a few people have it working, but more thru their own hacking
of the OSX kernel than anything.

I think the person in the email you linked to got it working,
something to do with hacking the EFI loader that the hackintosh stuff
was loading. But I'm not sure - I never pursued it.
