As per usual - seconds after sending that, I got it to work - sort of. Seems it 
will only take 5 items in the UITabBar regardless of how wide it becomes.

Not sure if it would violate guidelines - it's not much different to the 
Google+ scrolling nav bar that is now gone I see - I just went to look at it 
and it's all changed.

Any other UI suggestions? I liked the Tabs because they have badges, but 5 just 
isn't enough any more.

I've tried, and I think it worked but I can't make the UITabBar move - it's 
wider, but won't slide side to side like I expected. Wondered though if it's a 
case of not being able to make it do that?
