As per usual - seconds after sending that, I got it to work - sort of. Seems it will only take 5 items in the UITabBar regardless of how wide it becomes.
Not sure if it would violate guidelines - it's not much different to the Google+ scrolling nav bar that is now gone I see - I just went to look at it and it's all changed. Any other UI suggestions? I liked the Tabs because they have badges, but 5 just isn't enough any more. I now need more than 5 tabs, so wondered if I could put a UITabBar in a UIScrollView to allow it to scroll? I've tried, and I think it worked but I can't make the UITabBar move - it's wider, but won't slide side to side like I expected. Wondered though if it's a case of not being able to make it do that?
