Thank you Jeff. @gshackles suggested I try to upgrade and it worked!
I can confirm that upgrading to MonoDevelop 3.0.3.1 made this error go away. I did see some odd behavior with the "Assistant" not showing the .h file one time but that went away when I restarted Xcode. I will try to update the bug I filed with this info.
