I believe it's reference counting in general, which has to be used in all apps (thats how Cocoa works).
So: resubmit. Also, a tip: when you resubmit, DO NOT mention iOS6. They will reject it if it's in the "whats new" section (I did that for an iOS5 one). Just say "Bug Fixes" or something.
