I compile for arm6 and arm7, purely because I was told that there is a slight performance improvement for native arm7. Im expecting to have to drop arm6 once the new xcode is 'official', probably around the time that iOS6 is released methinks.
I have no idea what Apple will do if you drop arm6 support now though, I'd be interested in that answer too.
