I tried the same URL using safari on the simulator & device and it worked
as expected. Here's a really simple repro that throws an exception for
https but not for http:
using (var webClient = new System.Net.WebClient())
{
return webClient.DownloadString("https://api.imgur.com/2/stats";);
}
